Lead Organizers

Sheila Hoffman

Sheila has had her own business since 1988, first as a print designer, then on the web. She’s been designing in WordPress since 2009 with the benefit of visual theme frameworks at Hoffman Graphics. Sheila has volunteered at 6 WordCamps in various capacities. She’s pleased to be co-chairing this year’s event for the second year. When she isn’t using WordPress you will find her tandem cycling with her husband, and hanging out with her co-housing community.

Larry Swanson

Larry is a long-time content strategist and publisher of both old-fashioned books and newfangled websites (all on WordPress, of course). He currently publishes, writes, and speaks on office fitness and orthopedic self-care as part of his massage practice. In addition to his work as the sponsor wrangler for WordCamp Seattle last year and co-chairing this year’s WordCamp, he helps organize Ignite Seattle and volunteers for many other Seattle community events, including the Moisture Festival and Seattle Empty Bowls.

Mark Root-Wiley

Mark builds WordPress websites for nonprofits as MRW Web Design and maintains a free WordPress resource for nonprofits, Nonprofit WP.  He’s a long-time WordPress Seattle community member and has presented at meetups; spoken, organized, and volunteered at WordCamps; and founded the WP Seattle Slack Team. Mark is speaker team co-lead this year for WordCamp Seattle, recruiting, scheduling, and supporting the 50+ speakers at this year’s event. He’s an avid Sounders fan and plays percussion in his community band.

Nichole Betterley

Nichole is the owner of “N” Powered Websites where she helps coaches, consultants, and solopreneur service providers create websites that grow their businesses and stand out from the crowd. She loves walks on the beach, reading by the fire, and WordPress tutorials. Nichole lives in Sammamish, WA with her husband, daughter, and the obligatory, work-from-home cat (even though she’s really a dog person at heart).
